Automated Life text alerts
Automated Life is personal system-monitoring software run by William Rains. Its text-message program sends automated system alerts to a few people who opted in themselves: the owner and a small number of people the owner knows personally. It isn't a commercial service, and it sends no marketing.
What the texts say
Only fixed alert wording: a monitored service went offline or came back online, a backup failed, a reminder is due, or a notification is waiting by email, plus a one-time confirmation code when someone signs up. Texts never include personal, client or health information.
How often
Message frequency varies, up to 10 messages a day. Message and data rates may apply.
